Where is Minnippi Golf Course?
Minnippi Golf Course is located in the heart of a brand new property estate development in Cannon Hill. Just 20 minutes from the CBD, Minnippi Golf Course is the perfect blend of suburban peace and golfing oasis.
The course is simple to find, all you need to do is make your way through the estate to the end of the drive and you’ll find ample car parking, the pro shop and cafe waiting. Given its proximity to Brisbane’s southside suburbs, it’s the perfect location if you live south of the river.
Minnippi Golf Course design and features
Minnippi Golf Course was designed by renowned designers Phil Ryan & Paul Greeves, and was made to be the ideal course for all skill levels. The course itself is set upon a natural floodplain, presenting unique challenges in both the design and the style of play.
Given the natural floodplain you won’t find any bunkers but the natural layout of the land provides plenty of challenges, and the man-made timber hazards make approach shots that little bit more challenging. The fairways on most holes are quite open, which is great if you need a little course forgiveness to accommodate a slice or a hook of the tee.
With an open design, the course is ideal for beginners or more experienced players with some challenging approach shots, sloped greens and a few hazards to navigate as well. No matter what level you play at, the course is well designed and will ensure a productive round of golf for all players.
Minnippi Golf Course Amenities and Equipment
If you’re the kind of golfer who is always ‘guesstimating’ distances and how far you’ve got left to put it within a foot of the hole, then Minnippi Golf Course is the place for you. Minnippi Golf Course has state-of-the-art golf carts which come fitted with digital scorecards and distances pre-loaded. No more guessing what the hole looks like, how far to a particular point off the tee or how far to the front, centre or back of the green. The golf carts at Minnippi Golf Course are a golfer’s best friend, so it’s safe to say you may be doing a lot less walking.
On top of the game changing golf carts, Minnippi Golf Course also has an incredible Cooee Cafe and Restaurant attached, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week. Run by Head Chef, Blaire Lee the Cooee Cafe and Restaurant caters to so much more than the 19th hole.
Offering a wide menu including breakfast, burgers, pizzas or mains the Cooee Cafe and Restaurant is ideal for groups, families, friends or even events. You don’t need to be playing the course, it really is a great spot for any locals or those looking for a new spot to try.
Minnippi Golf Course Range
One of the other great parts of the Minnippi Golf Course precinct is the range. Open 7 days a week at varying open hours, the Minnippi Golf Course range is the perfect place to hone your skills.
If you have flexibility, or a day off work be sure to get down before 3pm as the team offers extra discounts on balls before this time. Choose between 35, 70, 100 or 150 balls and start working on that swing and distance. Operated on a ‘walk-in’ basis, the range allows the casual or serious golfer the perfect place to improve. If you and your friends want a friendly competition to see who can drive the furthest, the Minnippi Golf Course hires our clubs for the range as well.
Open 6am – 6:30pm Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, and 9am – 6:30pm Mondays and Wednesdays there is sure to be a time that suits for every golfer.
No matter what level you play, if you’ve been looking for a new golf course to try, then look no further than Minnippi Golf Course. The facilities, features and course make for an immensely enjoyable day on the fairways and greens.
