What sets Area 51 Brisbane apart is the additional play area or zones that almost certainly mean you wouldn’t feel as crowded as other more traditional Brisbane playcenters. Adding to the soft play playground, there is a dedicated zone with multiple built-in trampolines with two screens with interactive games that the kids can bounce along too.
If interactive games are what your kids love then you’ll also love the light-up dancefloor feature at Area 51 Brisbane. This huge dancefloor is not just a game but a workout for the kids (and adults) who jump on. With a large screen that selects games at random and shows how many lives the players have left, the dancefloor then lights up with squares to chase, jump on and avoid. If you have an energetic toddler or a hyperactive big kid, the dancefloor game is a must do and will make bed time a lot easier that night.
Next we have to mention the slides, with so many to choose from there won’t be any arguments between kids or long waits. We couldn’t choose between our favourites with two taking the cake. The first slide is an enormous vortex-like slide with fluro lighting and a very necessary crash pad at the bottom. Spoiler alert, if you’re a parent who likes slides like us, it is very fast and addictive. The second slide you’ll want to watch out for is the four-way racer within the soft play playground which is again lit up with fluro lighting and is giving “rainbow road” from Mario Kart. Jump on and race the kids down to see who will be crowned champion.
Food and Drink
The cafe at Area 51 Brisbane is another great feature that helps set this playcentre apart and really helps make any stay much more enjoyable for the whole family. Whether you need a caffeine fix with a hot or cold coffee, or the kids want an ice cold slushee, the cafe has you covered.
As well as having a great array of drinks, the cafe at Area 51 Brisbane also has a wide selection of hot and cold food. From chicken nuggets to sandwiches, the menu is sure to cater for all kids and adults alike. The ample seating also means finding a table won’t be difficult either, meaning you can place your food or drink order then relax at your table as you wait for the buzzer to go off for collection.
